Bathroom Conversion and Home Office Design

Project Timeline: 6 months

Services: Spatial Design Study

Building Firm: Riccio Builders

Completed

Doug and Paul approached us to thoughtfully reinvest a family inheritance into their semi-detached South London home - a place they see as their long-term base. With a clear intention to modernise and future-proof the property, the brief centred on reconfiguring the existing layout to better support how they live today and plan to live tomorrow.

The project involved converting an underutilised upstairs bedroom into a generous, contemporary family bathroom, while transforming the existing downstairs bathroom into a calm, functional home office with a discreet WC and direct access to the garden.

Working alongside Riccio Builders, we guided the design aspects of the renovation, ensuring that every decision balanced intent with build efficiency. Together, we identified modern, elegant solutions that prioritised comfort, longevity, and ease of use that was affordable without compromising on visual cohesion.

With the clients already aligned on their preferred aesthetic direction, our role focused on translating this vision into spatial clarity. Through our detailed Spatial Design Study, we explored layout possibilities, refined proportions, and tested material choices, not only confirming the functionality of each space, but also introducing design opportunities the clients hadn’t previously considered.

The result is a home that feels more intuitive, adaptable, and reflective of Doug and Paul’s lifestyle, a carefully considered transformation designed to support them for years to come.
